I became inspired to begin designing jewellery after viewing a documentary on its history where scientists discovered pieces that were 90,000 to 100,000 years old.

My personally handmade custom-designed jewellery is constructed using the finest semi-precious polished stones, lampwork glass beads, freshwater pearls, glass and wooden beads. The completed pieces are strung on nylon coated stainless steel cording or a natural or dyed and waxed hemp and finished with silver plated clasps.

Through my research of semi-precious stones I have found the meanings behind them very intriguing and thought provoking. For instance the gemstone Amethyst, the birthstone for the month of February, is known to heighten intelligence, while Sodalite is said to boost the immune system. Quartz is said to promote and heighten healing as well as relieving stress, making it an excellent stone for mediation and yoga. The Lampwork Glass beads I use are handcrafted individually by melting glass with a flame torch. This process gives each bead its own set of unique characteristics. I also work with Tropical Seeds which create an innovative natural bead, including the Tagua Seed. This type of seed is from Tropical Rainforests where the local people slice, dry and dye them as an industry. Tagua Seeds are believed to have romantic energy, giving harmony and happiness to those who wear them.

I also enjoy creating unique pieces for existing as well as new clients for their special occasions including weddings, birthdays and holiday parties, or just to fulfill special tastes.
